There must be something wrong with me, as I just passes on the latest George Stagg and William Larue Weller, which I finally found in a Florida, to pick up three bottles of Ezra Brooks from the late '70's. I also found two bottles of old Fitzgerald from bourbon heritage collection. However, if my wife finds I've gone into some sketchy liquor store again, I think she will kill me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9082156144028140004.post-86686308452843965242012-12-31T12:38:14.619-08:002012-12-31T12:38:14.619-08:00Alligatorchar, much of what I taste for Dusty Thur...Alligatorchar, much of what I taste for Dusty Thursday are things that others have found and have generously given me a sample.

LA is pretty shopped out. I probably haven't found a good on-the-shelf dusty in LA for a year, but I'm lucky to have a network of friends who travel far and wide and are happy to share their findings.skuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00487419662314518931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9082156144028140004.post-43202861850154820872012-12-29T23:04:31.006-08:002012-12-29T23:04:31.006-08:00I'm amazed at the sheer volume of older labels...I'm amazed at the sheer volume of older labels you taste. I'm in the market looking high and low for anything interesting and I get my hands on more than my fair share. I've combed my way through part of Arizona's liquor stores and bars and I rarely see anything close to the parades I read in your reviews. I doubt there is that much good dusty hunting left in CA. And I'm figuring auctions aren't more than occasional source if at all for you. I've got to hand to you on your acquistion prowess but I just can't figure how you manage to find all this stuff. Especially on the bourbons.alligatorcharnoreply@blogger.com
