Coming Soon to a Bookstore Near You...

There are lots of books and on-line sources that tell you which whiskeys to try.  For instance, if you're a novice, you should definitely check out this recent list of recommendations from acclaimed whiskey writer Ian Buxton, all of which you should find at your local liquor store.  While it's great to have lists of hundreds of whiskeys that you should try before your inevitable demise, it's just as important to know what not to try.  That's why I'm proud to announce my new book:

101 Whiskeys That Are Crap You Shouldn't Bother With

In this well researched volume, Sku takes you on a whirlwind tour of the 101 whiskeys you should do everything in your power to avoid.  From 1980s Bowmore, to the latest two month old craft whiskey, to anything from Woodford Reserve, Sku saves you time and money so you can save up for the 5,000 whiskeys recommended in all those other books.

And if you buy now, you will get a free bottle of Ardbeg Galileo!  Operators are standing by.

  4. Just saw the TTB Cola for the 2015 Ardbeg Committee release. It's called, SkuYou. It is NAS Ardbeg finished in Woodford Reserve casks that were re-charred with flaming copies of "101 Whiskys That Are Crap You Shouldn't Bother With."

  5. All I'm saying is be careful and do your homework. Sure, it says 'by SKU' on the cover, but its probably written by a ghost writer out of Indiana.

  6. Well sure Funky Tape, but I print it on 100% local paper and add my own title page, so it's really my own craft product.

  7. Please offer an airport-only "investment" run of this text. Keep these under 50 books and house them all in magnificent decanters protected by bespoke wooden cabinetry.

  8. I highly recommend hand-numbering the books in GREEN ink. Or Black. Your choice. But make sure someone trumpets the fact that they were accidentally hand numbered with the nearest sharpie, somewhere.

If you really want to create a ruckus, get a natural rubber ink stamp made with the cryptic letters "FS/FT" and punch every 7th book with it on a random page.

  9. Do you think anyone with the sophistication to read books which are lists of things they should/shouldn't experience instead of vulgarly just going out into the riff-raff and tasting them will give any credence to a book whose author is not the one casting the typefaces nor hand-binding the cover? Not to mention the possibility that some of the material itself may have been source... instead of being made up directly by the author, as the most highly-acclaimed such volumes all seem to be.

Besides, one would probably not purchase a whiskey list that did not mention Pappy or BTAC brands prominenty on the cover.
